Had to transfer from NSU(Norfolk State) b/c of funds... hated going to CSULB(Cal State Un. in Long Beach) so much that I joined my sister at GSU(Grambling State) which is technically my alma mater.

I'm quick to say I am Norfolk Born and Grambling Made b/c had it not been for either school, I wouldn't have the life I have now. You are definitely right about gaining a tremendous sense of black community from going there. there are so many traditions and rituals and other social blessings that you just cannot get from a regular university. (i can't lie though...th situation with the administration and getting paperwork processed used to piss me off though, not to mention working in student govt allowed me to see how stuff works behind the scenes and that pissed me off even more, but can't nobody talk about my school but me and other fellow langstonites...you will get popped in the mouth trying to clown). I saw a woman in walgreens with a Langston University shirt on and I almost had a fit, running up to her to show my pride for "the Lu", as we call it. I would never do that if I saw someone rocking a SF STATE sweat shirt lolsugahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12023528077518377480noreply@blogger.com
